A daughter/sister/friend, born and raised in the Southeast, wanting to take advantage of each day I am given; striving to love others the way Jesus loves us; passionate about family, social justice, music, books, running, learning, laughing, being outside; searching for God in others, nature, and myself.
In the recent past I worked with an organization in South Carolina’s lowcountry that provides home repairs, food, energy, and other assistance for those in need. It was during this time that this blog was born. I currently work as the Program Coordinator at the Carolina Women’s Center, “a campus-based women’s center that pursues gender equity at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill . . . Through education, advocacy, and interdisciplinary research, we build bridges and enhance the intellectual life and public engagement mission of the university.”
I am thankful for each day, yet am often discerning my next path and learning to appreciate the journey. After all, more often than not, my destination is uncertain. This blog is an expression of my thoughts and reflections along the journey, however extraordinary, random, and/or odd they may be.
